Are You Fully Dressed?

Weeks leading up to my Marriage, I had frequent dreams of not being ready for my wedding day. One dream, I forgot my gown, one dream, my hair wasn't done, and yet another, no shoes. Each time as I realized my unpreparedness, I went into a panic thinking that my day was ruined. 
As Christ followers, God commands us to daily put on His whole Armor so that we can be prepared for anything that comes our way. 

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.  Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,  and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:10-18

Being without out Battle Garments leave us vulnerable to satan's devices and schemes. Putting on the belt of truth. A belt which holds us up, and holds things cohesively together. The breastplate of righteousness... which guards us from those things that attack our heart. Feet fitted with readiness that will leave peace wherever they go. Shielding yourself with faith. knowing that no matter what is thrown your way, your faith will protect you. Gods word, hidden in your heart to strengthened you along the way. The helmet of salvation to keep your mind focused on the prize. Prayer, which keeps us in constant contact with the Father.

Be Careful How You Treat Others

Having grown up around many Christian leaders and teachers, I have seen those who have humble spirits, and those who do not. I have seen those who by way of their popularity have found themselves requiring dutifulness of those they were called to help. Just because we are called to help others does NOT elevate us to a position to rule over them. Be careful of how you treat those God has called you to help. Our teaching should always be seen as a pay it forward opportunity.  John 13:14   says; " Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet." I agree that it feels good to empower others, to bless others, and to help others, but in the end the only one that should be glorified is God. We must abstain from seeing ourselves higher than we aught to, and requiring it from others...  Romans 12:16   says; "Live in harmony with one another. Purpose: Perspective and Position

My husband and I have always believed that participating in sports would be beneficial to my children in order for them to learn teamwork, rules, etc. We were blessed to have some pretty awesome coaches cross path with our kids. One coach, in particular, left a lasting impression and life long lesson with me as he coached my middle son. My middle son was scrappy, quick and ...well... he just wanted to hit something. The coaches were allowed to remain on the field with the players to give direction, make adjustments, and call plays. I began to notice that he would at times grab the back of my son's jersey, move him from side to side and eventually point him in the direction and toward the person he wanted him to tackle. We laughed and joked about it because it started to make my son look like he was going to attack someone or something as soon as the coach let him go.
