In His Presence


There is such a contrasting dynamic from being in a room of people you know on the surface and being in the presence of someone you have a personal relationship with.

The conversation is different . You reveal more of your true character, deeper thoughts and pure emotions. You feel safe exposing your true self. You feel protected, valued and loved.

Time spent in Gods presence through prayer, meditation, and reading His word develops those feelings of safety, security, and love.


Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,my God, in whom I trust.”


Psalms 91:1-2 introduces Gods promises that come from living in His presence. He assures us that it will provide us with  protection, safety, and shelter. Being in His presence will also give us a personal confidence in Him that He will protect us and supply what we need as well as the security that this
relationship is forever.

Being in God's presence gives us confidence and security for our future.

Dear God,
Help me open my heart and spirit to recieve confidence through in you. Help me prioritize my time spent with you and develop a deeper relationship with you.

Be Careful How You Treat Others

Having grown up around many Christian leaders and teachers, I have seen those who have humble spirits, and those who do not. I have seen those who by way of their popularity have found themselves requiring dutifulness of those they were called to help. Just because we are called to help others does NOT elevate us to a position to rule over them. Be careful of how you treat those God has called you to help. Our teaching should always be seen as a pay it forward opportunity.  John 13:14   says; " Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet." I agree that it feels good to empower others, to bless others, and to help others, but in the end the only one that should be glorified is God. Purpose: Perspective and Position

My husband and I have always believed that participating in sports would be beneficial to my children in order for them to learn teamwork, rules, etc. We were blessed to have some pretty awesome coaches cross path with our kids. One coach, in particular, left a lasting impression and life long lesson with me as he coached my middle son. My middle son was scrappy, quick and ...well... he just wanted to hit something. The coaches were allowed to remain on the field with the players to give direction, make adjustments, and call plays. I began to notice that he would at times grab the back of my son's jersey, move him from side to side and eventually point him in the direction and toward the person he wanted him to tackle. We laughed and joked about it because it started to make my son look like he was going to attack someone or something as soon as the coach let him go.
