WHEN TO LET GO

"He led them forth by the right way." Psalm 107:7

Have you ever been in a situation where a friend was going through something that you have been through and God silenced you? Have you ever seen a loved one burdened with a problem that hit home in your life, and God halted your witness? These are the times that you question God and yourself. Why am I here? Did you not put me here to help others in their Christian journey? What a dilemma and a spiritual struggle. How hard it is to let go and let God.

We must understand that there are times that we must allow others to face their trials on their own. Although it hurts, and you would rather have been the one to endure the hardship, God has a purpose in all that He does. During these tough times, we must be obedient. Just as He brought us through, we must trust that He will bring them through and they will come forth as pure gold.

Be Careful How You Treat Others

Having grown up around many Christian leaders and teachers, I have seen those who have humble spirits, and those who do not. I have seen those who by way of their popularity have found themselves requiring dutifulness of those they were called to help. Just because we are called to help others does NOT elevate us to a position to rule over them. Be careful of how you treat those God has called you to help. Our teaching should always be seen as a pay it forward opportunity.  John 13:14   says; " Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet." I agree that it feels good to empower others, to bless others, and to help others, but in the end the only one that should be glorified is God. Purpose: Perspective and Position

My husband and I have always believed that participating in sports would be beneficial to my children in order for them to learn teamwork, rules, etc. We were blessed to have some pretty awesome coaches cross path with our kids. One coach, in particular, left a lasting impression and life long lesson with me as he coached my middle son. My middle son was scrappy, quick and ...well... he just wanted to hit something. The coaches were allowed to remain on the field with the players to give direction, make adjustments, and call plays. I began to notice that he would at times grab the back of my son's jersey, move him from side to side and eventually point him in the direction and toward the person he wanted him to tackle. We laughed and joked about it because it started to make my son look like he was going to attack someone or something as soon as the coach let him go.
