Needing to Hear Your Voice

“Be still, and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10

Reflection:

In the constant rush and noise of daily life, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, scattered, and uncertain. We find ourselves juggling responsibilities, answering demands, and managing a stream of worries that seem never-ending. Yet, amidst this busyness, there’s an inner longing for something deeper—a sense of peace and direction that no to-do list or self-help strategy can provide. It’s the yearning to hear God’s voice, a desire for the comfort and guidance that only He can offer.

In Psalm 46:10, we are reminded to “be still” and let go of our striving. But how often do we make time for stillness? To sit in silence and be open to God’s gentle whispers? God speaks in many ways: through His Word, the kindness of others, and the quiet nudges in our hearts. When we pause and create space for Him, we allow these messages to reach us. Even a few minutes of stillness can make a difference, opening the door to renewed strength and perspective.

Maybe today, in a quiet moment, you’ll find God speaking to you in unexpected ways—a verse that resonates, a conversation that feels like an answer, or even a deep, calming peace that assures you He’s near. Whatever form it takes, know that He is always willing to speak to you when you are ready to listen.

Prayer:

Dear God, I’m ready to hear from You. Quiet the noise around me, and still my restless mind. Help me to be aware of Your presence in my life today. May I feel Your closeness, recognize Your voice, and find peace in knowing that You are with me in every step. Amen.

I am tuning in to hear God’s voice today. No matter how much noise or distraction tries to pull me away, I choose to be still and listen.

Unapologetically, G
