Who am I and what am I called to do?
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart ; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Prov.3 :5-6 I’ve asked myself many times how does a person understand who they really are and what their purpose is? Many times we jump into situations, projects, relationships because either it is popular at that time, it feels good to do, or someone has convinced us to do it. I know for a fact that I have not always sought God’s approval let alone guidance going into situations. I was prompted by my own desires, or encouraged by people and circumstances to just do it. Our society encourages us to “Just Do It”. So we do. I believe that we need to put things in our lives into a better perspective before we “Just Do It”.
